STREAMS

Engineering streams are the various disciplines within the field of engineering. There are many engineering streams available, including mechanical, civil, petroleum, safety, electrical, electronics, communication, computer and software engineering. Each stream provides its own unique combination of knowledge, skills and abilities to the engineering profession. Mechanical engineering involves the design and analysis of mechanical systems, while civil engineering deals with the construction and management of infrastructure. Petroleum engineering focuses on the extraction of oil and gas, while safety engineering covers the prevention of accidents and hazards. Electrical engineering involves the design and analysis of electrical systems, while electronics engineering deals with the study and application of electronic devices and systems. Communication engineering deals with the transmission and delivery of information, while computer and software engineering focuses on the development of software and hardware.
